New Palm Species Discovered! Trachycarpus bahariterrana

     On January 18th, 2022, a new species of palm tree was discovered growing in the woods on the southern shoreline of an island in an archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This was near NewPort Banda, Bahariterra. The name given to this new species of palm tree was the Bahariterra Chusan Palm and it's scientific name is Trachycarpus bahariterrana which means that is is a Chusan Palm tree endemic to the islands of Bahariterra. Trachycarpus bahariterrana grows in partial shade in clay, sandy, and volcanic soils. Trachycarpus bahariterrana likes lots of water! In the summer, Trachycarpus bahariterrana likes at least 233 millimeters every month if not more. Trachycarpus bahariterrana grows about 29 feet tall when it has reached maturity and is often mistaken for Trachycarpus takil. Trachycarpus bahariterrana was discovered and named by Anpu Singh Gojii in NewPort Banda, Bahariterra. Trachycarpus bahariterrana was discovered on the 18th of January in year 2022.
